Haynes and Boone is seeking a patent agent and associate with patent prosecution experience to join our Austin office.  An ideal patent agent will have 1-3 years of experience and a degree in electrical engineering or computer science, with preference given to candidates experienced with mixed signal or DSP technology.  An ideal associate candidate will have 2-4 years of experience with PTAB trials and a degree in electrical engineering or computer science, with preference given to candidates having an advanced degree. Candidates must have strong academic credentials, excellent writing skills and should enjoy working with others in a team-oriented setting.

Haynes and Boone is seeking an associate with 2-6 years of experience in representing large brand owners to join our Dallas Trademark practice. The ideal candidate will have developed skills in trademark clearance, prosecution, counseling, and enforcement. Experience with trademark litigation, TTAB and UDRP proceedings, licensing, advertising or copyright matters are a plus. Prior experience in a large law firm setting is preferred. Experience with wireless telecommunications, signal processing, computer networking or semiconductor engineering experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have at least a college degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or physics, have well-developed skills in patent application preparation and prosecution, and experience in conducting validity and infringement assessments. Ability to read and speak Mandarin is preferred, but not required.
